important role companion animals play in our society, but there are a few rules in place to make sure that dogs are responsibly exercised on Eurobodalla Shire beaches.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/viewer?mid=1lOmOYcDPhekX_YHtqbkn6WdGjPWHyEzi&amp;femb=1&amp;ll=-35.86469851648722%2C150.22637562166432&amp;z=12\">Skip to maps of dog exercise areas.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Eurobodalla, there are three types of dog access areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>24-hour off-leash<\/li>\n<li>timeshare<\/li>\n<li>prohibited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Beaches with timeshare arrangements mean that:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>From 1 May to 31 October:<\/strong>\u00a0dogs are allowed on the beach any time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>From 1 November to 30 April:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Dogs are allowed on or off-leash before 9am and after 5pm.<\/li>\n<li>Dogs are prohibited during the day from 9am at 5pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dogs must remain leashed until you get to the designated off-leash exercise area.<\/p>\n<p>Animals must always be under the care and control of a competent person.<\/p>\n<h2>Trial of dog training area at Hanging Rock<\/h2>\n<p>At its Ordinary meeting on\u00a023 October 2018, Councillors adopted the Companion Animal Management Plan 2018, which allows for a six-month trial dog training area at Hanging Rock (effective from 23 October 2018) on Mondays between 3pm to 7pm.<\/p>\n<p>The trial will enable Council to substantiate the need, and community support, and usage, for a dedicated off-leash training dog park in Batemans Bay.<\/p>\n<p>Public liability insurance may be required.<\/p>\n<p>For more information or for bookings and payment for usage of area, please contact our bookings officer from
